Accreditation Unit Reviewer Team at Ruhuna

A reviewer team led by Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena from Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya visited the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna from 2nd to 4th August 2022. The review visit was undertaken as part of the local medical school accreditation process led by the Accreditation Unit of the Sri Lanka Medical Council. During the visit, the reviewer team was able to observe the functioning of the medical faculty and learn from the faculty members how teaching and learning activities take place at Ruhuna. Prof K.N. Marambe (Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya), Prof. P.H. Dissanayake (Faculty of Medicine, Sri Jayawardenapura University), Prof. S. Sivaganesh (Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo) and Prof. Rasanayake Mudiyanse (Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya) also took part in the visit as members of the reviewer team on behalf of the Accreditation Unit.
